Covid and the subsequent lockdowns brought about many changes in the way teaching and education are delivered. This included many schools using laptops, Chromebooks, and tablets for remote and hybrid teaching and learning.

These devices have increased further demands on schools’ network infrastructure and accelerated the need for high-speed, robust wireless technology to encourage an effective environment for learning and teaching.

Department for Education’s Connect the Classroom scheme aims to help with this. Aiming to contribute around £150 million towards next-generation wireless and LAN infrastructure for schools over the next 3 years.

What are the next steps?

Once your school has received its invitation from the DfE you will need to complete a compliant bid to obtain the funding. Your school can then apply direct via Excotek.

2. We will provide a quote designed exclusively to DfE specifications which you can review, share and discuss with your DfE advisor.
3. Once approved, our team will develop the plan for the delivery and installation of your projects.
4. Along the way, you will receive support, guidance, and training from our team, as well as aftercare once your project is complete.
