Excotek enters the entry-level tablet market with the much-anticipated X20

After months of hard work and development behind the scenes, we can finally reveal our big news. The Excotek X20 Android 10.51-inch tablet has launched to market and is set to shake up the industry’s entry-level category. Read on to find out more about the tablet, our reasons for bringing it to market and our future product launch plans.

Having worked in the education sector for a long time, we understand the specific needs organisations have for delivering first-class technology-led teaching and learning experiences. We also appreciate that finding the right tech isn’t always easy or affordable, especially in today’s economic climate.

We researched the competition and very quickly realised there was a gap in the UK market for an entry-level Android 10-inch tablet that’s packed full of performance and features but at a more budget-friendly price point. With this in mind, we set about creating a product that ticked all the boxes.

Designed and built with education in mind

From speaking to students and teachers at length, we know that performance and reliability are top of the list when it comes to learning on tablets, which is why we chose to power the X20 with Android 13 and the UNISOC Tiger T616 8 Core processor to deliver responsive performance for seamless multitasking and smooth navigation.

Multimedia forms a core part of digital learning so the X20 benefits from a vibrant and crisp 1920 x 1200 full HD display, ideal for viewing photos and videos captured using the 5 MP front camera or 13 MP rear camera. With 64GB of internal memory, expandable up to 128GB via micro SD, there’s plenty of space to store educational apps and immersive games powered by the built-in 3D accelerator.

Of course, education doesn’t just take place in the classroom, so in addition to both 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, the X20 also comes with 4G cellular functionality. This means students can easily take their learning on the go, with the rechargeable 7000 mAh battery guaranteeing extended usage without the hassle of frequent recharging.

Finally, we know that ease of set up and use is extremely important for time-pressed teachers, so we’ve made sure the X20 caters to all peripheral and third-party accessory needs with universal Bluetooth 5.0 and USB type C connectivity. No more need for technical assistance to connect those simple devices like external keyboards and headphones, just plug in and go.

Made to perform without breaking the bank

With the X20, we’re confident we’ve produced an Android tablet that’s capable of doing everything a teacher or student needs at a fraction of the cost compared to the bigger brands in the market, but still offering the peace of mind that comes with buying from an established, reputable UK manufacturer. Whether it’s browsing the internet, learning, multimedia or gaming, the X20 offers unrivalled value without compromising on performance.

We’re extremely excited and proud to see the X20 launch. We’ve invested a significant amount of time and money into getting the product to market, obtaining copyright for both the Excotek and X brands across the UK, Europe and China with plans underway to secure copyright in the US, Canada and Dubai soon as well. But we’re not stopping there. This will be the first of many product launches and we hope to share more details with you soon about what else we’re working on.

Get in touch if you’ve got a question about the X20 or if you’d like to place a bulk order for your organisation. You can also head over to our education page to find out more about our experience in this sector and the wider services we offer.
